How to join the Hartlepool Youth Choir

The Senior Choir meet every Tuesday, and the Training Choir meet every Thursday during term time. Our current rehearsal venue is the English Martyrs School Music Department, Catocote Road, Hartlepool. Training Choir is from 5:30-6:30pm on Thursdays. Senior Choir is from 6:00-7:30pm on Tuesdays. (The Choir is not currently rehearsing. Please contact us for more information.)

You'll be experiencing lots of different kinds of music and learning to sing. We sing many different types of music - some simple, some not so simple! It's a great way of learning about music from different countries and eras!

Absolutely! Singing together is great fun. You'll learn how to do it really well, and you'll be able to make new friends too. We also travel around from time to time, either in this country or perhaps abroad! Being a member of a choir is a great way to meet new people, and learn new things!

It costs £15 every term. It may be that your membership can be funded by your school. Your first half term will be free! If paying would be a problem for you please let us know, and we can work something out.

If you are aged 7-25 you can join the choir. The training choir is for members aged 7-11. For the senior choir it is 11-25. (These ages are flexible! If you're a little younger or older, please come along anyway!)

Yes! Don't worry if you don't know how to read music. We will show you how to do it, and you'll soon pick it up! It's quite easy once you get used to it, and there'll be plenty of people around who can help.
